Works hire on the construction of the Zezelj bridge in Novi Sad, have continued works after a number of days of halt, Radio 021 finds out.

The investor, Spanish-Italian consortium Azvi paid to workers debt of sub-contractor, Mostogradnja, for special lifters used set up of hanging elements which enables workers to finish the works on the remaining three elements.

Azvi with Prolifting, whose workers are hired on the bridge construction, signed a contract which enabled direct debt payment having in mind that Mostogradnja, due to its debts could not fulfill these commitments. There have still been debts for late salaries for workers and it is not known when they could be settled.

Late salaries were the reason of previous protests of the staff at Prolifting also of the ones hired in the previous period on the construction of long-awaited of the Zezelj bridge. In the beginning, they went on general strike so that after that they submitted disputes against Mostogradnja. These disputes have been in progress, the workers confirmed for our portal.

Let us remind that the staff of Prolifting previously halted warning strikes since these parts of monthly salaries, due to protests, were paid in parts.
