Startup Weekend is a global phenomenon that was launched in 2007 in the USA and then spread around the world. The aim of this event is to have all those interested elaborate their ideas and turn them into a functional business model that is really applicable in realistic settings. For this they have only 54 hours.
Previous two events in Novi Sad were attended by more than 350 people - some of them are independent entrepreneurs today, while most work at startups.
What is interesting about the 3rd Startup Weekend is the fact that the winning team will have a chance to compete at the world's largest global contest for startups - Global Startup Battle, which is organized as part of the World Entrepreneurship Week. Winners from over 200 cities from all parts of the world will compete at a global video conference for the title of Global Startup Champion.
In addition to participants and the audience, the 3rd Startup Weekend in Novi Sad will also be attended by renowned entrepreneurs from Serbia and the region, such as Branislava Gajic, Boris Krstovic, and Mirko Topalski.
The fee for participation in Startup Weekend is RSD 1,320. More information on this event can be found at the official website and Facebook page.
