Footwear for world market - "Tigar" corporation started modernization process

Corporation "Tigar" from Pirot has started modernization of some very significant production units. These are the units of former Lumber Combine "Polet". Production will be modernly organized in factories "Obuća" and "Tehnička guma".

According to the words of Dragan Nikolić, President of corporation "Tigar", the new industrial unit will be producing modern footwear and other rubber-technical products.

- We have already done certain infrastructural changes on that location and when everything is completed, factory "Obuća" will double its capacities. Besides, that unit will be producing more complex, so-called "hi-tec" program, intended for markets of Europe, America and Canada. In some way, we will detach from consumer products, but we will still produce rubber boots and peasant's shoes, and focus will be on production of protective footwear that is certified - says Nikolić, expressing expectation that that production program, as well as car tires, will end in high percentage (85% - 90%) on foreign markets.
