The Electric Power Industry of Serbia has signed today with ABB the contract on procurement of hardware and software for the system of coal quality management at the open pit mine "Tamnava-Zapadno polje". The contract totaling EUR 4,88 m which is a part of the "Energy efficiency through environmental system for coal quality management", was signed at the Mine Basin Kolubara Aleksandar Obradovic, head of head of sales.
The project is funded through the loan of the German developmental bank(KfW) and

floods, will be seen through reduced losses in coal excavation and higher
exploitation of findings, balanced coal quality and decrease of hazardous
gasses emission from the electric power plants.
Implementation of the environmental coal quality management system is a part of a wider project of environmental protection development project at the Mine Basin Kolubara, totaling EUR 181 m. Apart from KfW bank, the project is funded from the loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) totaling EUR 80 m, grants of the Government of Germany totals EUR 9 m while EPS provides EUR 27 m.
