Minimal chances for Finish Sisu auto to acquire FAP - Czech Tatra is a new chance for Priboj-based plant
Not even after a few months of negotiations of the Government of Serbia and Sisu auto which was the only one to deliver privatization offer and whose owner Timo Korhonenen in May last year announced to FAP employees better days in his company, things have not moved.
Outlooks that the Scandinavians enter the plant are minimal and the reason is, Blic finds out, the conditions of the Finish.
Finding of Blic is to some extent confirmed by Zoran Zakovic, GM at FAP who says that negotiations with the Finish did not move on since due to legal regulations the offer of the Government did not get close to the one Scandinavians delivered.
The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic also announced the failure of negotiations with Sisu auto and did not provide details on conditions of the Finish but he announced that they are looking for unrealistic huge amounts of money. Vuic still promised to the truck plant employees that the state will not leave them on their own and that Sisu auto is not the last hope.
This is supported also with the fact that Tatra’s delegation visited Priboj.
