Although the Zagreb Stock Exchange raised only a half of the required capital in the first round of recapitalization, Chairman of the Managing Board Ivana Gazic believes in eventual success, announcing that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) would acquire a stake in the Zagreb company.
According to the daily Poslovni Dnevnik, the first round of raising additional capital, in which only existing shareholders had a right to participate, ended Thursday noon.

Ivana Gazic says that 28.5% of shareholders partook in the first round and contributed HRK 4.27 million (EUR 559,705) in new capital.

The Zagreb Stock Exchange needs recapitalization to conclude an agreement on the acquisition of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
