Representatives of the Italian company Building Energy from Milan and Krusevac Mayor Dragi Nestorovic have laid the foundation stone for a biomass power plant in that city.
This investment is valued at EUR 27 million. The Italian company provides all the money, while the Serbian side is to provide the land. Construction of this power plant on Jasicki put Road is expected to be finished in 14 to 16 months, and it should be commissioned in 2017.
The Italian company Building Energy is one of the world's leading manufacturers of electricity from renewable sources of energy - biomass, solar energy, wind farms, water...
- This project is a big challenge for Building Energy which operates in 26 countries on four continents - said Fabrizio Zago, the company owner.
Zago and Dragi Nestorovic also signed the charter "Message for the Future" and built in the foundations of the future power plant.
