Sitting in lines can be very hard and stressful, and that's exactly what motivated Robert Samuel to start a company that made a business out of line sitting. The U.S. company Ole Line Dudes is a professional line sitting service or the "Uber of line waiting" as Samuel put it.
Their website says that the primary goal of the company was to "reduce the line sitting to a minumum". Given that New York has a population of over 8 million, lines for all sorts of things can be very long.
Samuel and his employees wait in lines for you if you want to be among the first to buy an item that is yet to hit the stores. They also point out that they are ready to sit in lines even if you don't feel like doing it because it's cold or hot outside.
Samuel himself was waiting in lines for the new line of Kanye West snickers, new iPhone phones, Broadway tickets, etc.
The first hour of line sitting is charged USD 25, while every additional half an hour is priced at USD 10. Although this price seems to be high, Samuel has no trouble finding customers. He was recently hired to wait in line for iPhone 6s for 48 hours, for which he got USD 965.
