In two and a half years, EMS paid EUR 150 m in the budget of Serbia

The minister of energy, Aleksandar Antic, said on Sunday, October 4, 2015 that Elektromreza Srbije (EMS) is “without a doubt one of the best public companies which pays the highest dividend in the budget of Serbia”.

At the press conference at the Government of Serbia, he said EMS is in serious investment cycle and that discussion is for political reasons and it is a company with great financial business. According to him, the company deserves the highest grades and appraisals which there are a few of them in public or none.

The head of EMS, Nikola Petrovic, said on this occasion that the company tripled profit and announced that the contract for Trans-Balkan corridor will be signed in ten days. He added that the project of transformer station Beograd 20 has ended and that it will be put into operation soon as well as that the company, over the past two and a half years, paid app. EUR 150 m to budget of Serbia for various reasons – VAT, profit tax, contributions and dividends.

Speaking about the plans of EMS, Petrovic said that Trans-Balkan corridor almost started and that contract for its first section Pancevo-Resica will be signed in ten days. The transformer station project Beograd 20 as well as access long distance pipeline, they will perform trails these days and the prime minister should set the date when the station will be opened.
