Former general manager of Continental Wind Serbia (CWS), Ana Brnabic, submitted her irrevocable resignation on Sunday (4 October 2015), explaining at a press conference in the Serbian government what CWS had done so far and how important that deal was for Serbia. As she noted, the reason for her resignation lies in the fact that most of the CWS management disagreed with her intention to come out in public, believing that issuing two releases was quite enough.
Brnabic stated that there had been nothing illegal with the wind farm construction project and that competent ministries and institutions had obeyed the law and met all deadlines, stressing that there had not been any elements of corruption in any of those procedures. She specified at the press conference that she, as the general manager of CWS, was not interested in the phone talk between Bojan Pajtic and Lidija Udovicki, which the Democratic Party offered as one of the crucial evidences of corruption.
- I am not interested in that conversation because it has nothing to do with CWS - Brnabic told the press.
Brnabic commended the relationship of Serbian ministers and competent institutions to the American investor when it comes to the issue of building permits for the wind farm. She said that after getting a building permit, which was revoked and then reissued within three weeks, she herself sent a letter to Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in which she praised the relationship of competent institutions to CWS.
