Agreement signed to build bridge between Ljubovija and Bratunac - Project valued at EUR 12 million

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic signed an agreement Tuesday with a consortium of contractors from Serbia on the construction of Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge.
- Construction of the bridge is financed from the state budget, and the agreed value of works is RSD 499.1 million, inclusive of VAT - reads a release issued by the competent ministry. It also says that the Decision on the selection of the most favorable bidder was made on the basis of completed public procurement process and the Tender Committee's decision.
On behalf of the consortium comprising four domestic companies led by MBA-Ratko Mitrovic niskogradnja, the agreement was signed by its CEO Ilija Djordjevic.
- Construction of the bridge and joint border crossing will facilitate an even faster flow of goods and people and create a better business environment for investment in the border area on both sides of the Drina River. The fact that the bridge will be built by domestic companies because we want our construction companies to team up and participate more in projects as main contractors - Mihajlovic said after signing the agreement in the Serbian government.
The value of all bridge construction works totals about EUR 12 million, of which approximately EUR 4.5 million are provided by Serbia and the rest is financed by Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska. The Ministry of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure has already earmarked funds for this project in the budget for 2015 and 2016.
