State-business delegation of Lithuania in visit to Chamber of Commerce of Serbia - guests interested in privatization of Serbian companies
State-business delegation of Republic of Lithuania, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petras Vaitiekunas, was staying in Belgrade on August 27 and 28, 2007, where it had few meetings with the officials of the Government of Serbia and representatives of the economy of Serbia.
Business part of the delegation, which is made of the members of companies in field of banking, investments, agriculture, quality system, is led by the General Manager of International Chamber of Commerce of Lithuania, Algimantas Akstinas. According to the announcement of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, businessmen expressed great interest in expanding business collaboration, participating in privatization of Serbian companies and investing in Serbian economy.
At the Business Forum, which was held on August 28, 2007, Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Trade and Services, presented business environment of Serbia to the guests from Lithuania, while Jovan Miljković, the advisor for foreign investments in SIEPA, spoke about investment opportunities in Serbia. Vesna Džinić, Manager of the Privatization Agency talked with the guests from Lithuania about privatization processes in Serbia.
Algimantas Akstinas spoke about current situation in the economy sector of Lithuania, and after the meeting, around noon, billateral talks took place.
