Finish company gives up on FAP, Czech and Chinese in game now?
According to everything, Finish SISU gave up acquisition of Priboj-based FAP. It can be concluded from the announcements of the minister of defense, Bratislava Gasic and president of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic which are now announcing arrival of Czech Tatra i.e. Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Group.
Although Prime Minister Vucic and the minister of trade, Sertic, said that agreement with the Finish company was achieved and that they will take over FAP in a day or two, it has not happened so far. The citizens of Serbia did not find out what happened.
During the visit of the Czech prime minister a few days ago, the minister of defense, Bratislav Gasic announced arrival of Tatra in Krusevac-based 14. oktobar and FAP.
On the other hand, president of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic invited management of Chinese Shaanxi group to pour funds in two local truck plants. Nikolic, agencies report, invited company management to invest in Priboj-based FAP and Kragujevac - "Zastava kamione", explaining that it is about licensed producers with a wide spectrum of products.
President of Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Group, Juan Hongming said Chinese party is considering investing options in Serbia and that it will pay special attention to these two companies. Chinese company which was set up in 1958 with 32.000 employees produces military and civil trucks, passenger vehicles, motors and spare parts.
