Hungary has received a financial bid from China for the modernization of Budapest-Belgrade railroad, and intergovernmental agreements are currently being negotiated.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto added after talking with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing that both governments were planning to sign all agreements pertaining to this modernization project at the forthcoming Summit of China and the countries of Central and East Europe in November, MIT news agency reports.
He added that Hungary had become a key participant in Chinese economic activities in central Europe, stressing that Hungarian food exports to China in the first half of the year had been septupled from the same period in 2014.
