After they organized and harvested weed for the first time (as they say) and produced car tires, scientists from Fraunhofer Institute for molecular biology and applied economy from Munster, in cooperation with big German pneumatic producer started preparations for organized planting of raw material.

Namely, "weed" is a dandelion from whose root it is possible to produce raw materials which completely fits qualities of traditional raw materials. This year they will plant the kind of Russian dandelion which has much bigger root than the most common one, the meadow one. Scientists think production of car tyres made of dandelion will be much cheaper and environmentally more acceptable than current production method.

As for now all produced tyres which they called "Taraxa tyres" (taraxacum – dandalion) are meant for testing and development and the first quantities could see the market in 2017 already.
