Belgrade ranks 97th position as the best world city to live in - Fall of 52 places in three years
Melbourne has still been the best town to live in according to the analysis of the British Economist while this year Belgrade ranks 97 at the list of best places to live in which is a drastic fall compared to 2012 when it ranked as 45.
Vienna is second ranked among the best cities to live in and among the first 10 are also Vancouver, Sidney, Helsinki and Zurich while the best ranked is Chinese city, Peking at 69.
Factors which affect ranking of 140 cities are, among other things, security, health protection, education, infrastructure and environment and according to the data, quality of life worldwide decreased by one percent and stability and security fell by 2,2% due to attacks and conflicts in the countries such as Syria, Ukraine, Tunis and Libya.
Over the last five years, quality of life decreased in 57 cities previously ranked as the ones the best to live in.
According to the data published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the best places to live in are “mid-sized towns in richer countries with relatively small population density” so big towns such as London and New York rank worse.
The last five ranked cities at the list of 140 most convenient places to live in are Tripoli, Lagos, Port Moresby, Dhaka and Damask.
