In the first six months 2015, 2.161 of construction permits issued - The largest number since 2009

In the first six months 2015, 2.161 construction permits are issued which is the biggest number of issued permits during half a year period since 2009, the Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure of Serbia.

As announced by the Ministry, the Law on planning and construction, after almost six months since the implementation started, became effective completely and the effects have been visible even earlier than expected.

In June 2015, app. 40% of construction permits more were issued than in the same months last year, the Ministry said. It was added that the law implementation is getting better which the fact that in July three times construction permits (606) more were issued than in March, the first month of the Law implementation when 202 permits were issued in line with the joint procedure of fast issuance of the document.

- The strongest effects of new law implementation are expected early next year when electronic construction permit issuance starts which will simplify significantly the start of construction in Serbia and which has been so far one of the biggest remarks of the investors in Serbia – the Ministry stated.
