German Elatec opened plant for production of SIM cards in Bosnia and Herzegovina

German group, Elatec, opened a plant for production of SIM and smart cards in Gracanica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Elatec will produce SIM cards and packages as well as RFID readers, and Elco is a distributor, the German company announced.


The plant is equipped with the most modern machinery and has a capacity of two million SIM cards annually and expands on 1.600 m2.

Safety SAS equipment in the department complies with all standards governed by GSM Association for equipment for personalization of SIM cards.


Production and packing systems in Gracanica are protected with 60 video surveillances, move sensors and access control systems. Production department and control rook are highlty safe areas.


One floor in the new plant in Gracanica is booked for production of card solutions and the other one for RFID card readers .

German group, Elatec is specialized in development of RFID card readers and components. The company also operates as a distributor with focus on semi-conductors, computer systems as well as display technologies and solutions.
