"ATEL" and "Energy Holding" first on EPS' tender for procurement of electricity - another tender announced

Electric Power Company of Serbia has decided to sign contracts on procurement of 128.52m kWh of electric energy worth 10.1m EUR with companies "ATEL" Belgrade and S.C. "Energy Holding" from Bucharest.

The project will be realized in period from September 1, 2007 to January 31, 2008. According to the announcement of EPS, the quantity for which the contract will be signed equals about 29% of the quantity that EPS asked for on the tender.

In the tender for purchase of electric energy, which was announced by EPS in mid-July 2007, the following companies took part - EZPADA (Prague, Czech Republic), GENI and ISTRABENZ – GORENJE (joint offer of companies whose headquarters are in Belgrade and Slovenia), ATEL (Switzerland - office in Belgrade), ČEZ (Czech Republic - office in Belgrade), EGL (Canada - office in Belgrade) E.ON. (Germany - office in Belgrade) and S.C. ENERGY HOLDING (Bucharest, Romania).

According to the announcement, EPS announced another tender in the first three days of August for purchase of 364.8m kWh of electric energy. Procurement should be realized in period from October 1, 2007, until February 29, 2008. Qualified bidders, all 18 of them, can submit bids to EPS prior to August 17, 2007.
