MIHAJLOVIC: Law on conversion will unblock investments

The Law on turning the right to use into the right of ownership over the construction land with a fee, we will unblock the space for investors, to start building, increase investments which will lead to increased employment, VP of the Government, Zorana Mihajlovic, has said today.

In her statement for Tanjug, before discussion on the law at the Assembly of Serbia, Mihajlovic said the regulation is another proof the Government is putting its efforts to generate as favorable investment environment as possible.

According to her, proposal of the law is in line with the Constitution and it was planned that conversion is done with a fee which will be defied based on market value.

The fee, she added, will be possible to decrease if investors are in local self-governance which are in a group of devastated areas.

Mihajlovic, who will explain the law in the role of the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, announced that in the next 20 days the Government will make provision which will define how and where it is possible to decrease fee.

Investors will, if parliament members adopt the regulation, be able to expand and that is the interest of the Government, she added.
