Building energy 1 to build biofuel plant in Krusevac - Investment valued at EUR 25 million

The City of Krusevac and Krusevac-based Building energy 1 signed a Memorandum of Cooperation yesterday. The company was founded by Building energy from Milan and Sinergy invest from Krusevac, a local partner, and the subject of the Memorandum is the construction of biofuel plant that will be financed by Building energy and the local partner.
The investment value of the biomass power plant construction project is approximately EUR 25 milllion. The plan is to create 30 to 50 new jobs for a start.
Special form of cooperation between the City of Krusevac and Krusevac-based Building energy 1 is also possible in the field of solar energy, and the preparation of study and special plan for the construction of solar power plant is in the pipeline.
The future biomass power plant will be situated in the vicinity of the public utility company Gradska toplana, and this proximity will make future networking of the biofuel plant and the heating plant for the purpose of supplying heat to the city easier. At the same time, the biomass power plant will be located near the public utility company Krusevac for the needs of collecting and distributing biomass from the city territory.
Aforementioned project will be implemented over the next two years.
Additional benefits from this project include the reduction of emission of harmful gases in heat generation process, electricity generation from renewable sources, coal consumption reduction in the public utility company Gradska toplana, as well as additional revenue for the public utility company Krusevac.
