Tender for construction of the highway from Leskovac to Macedonian border in September
Tender for construction of the highway from Leskovac to Macedonian border will be published in September, and two months later, there should be signed Contract with the best offered bid, as announced by Miodrag Jocic, state secretary in the Ministry for infrastructure.
The Ministry has proposed to the Government to reserve 800 millions RSD, from the National investment plan for the year 2007, for the works on this section of Corridor 10.
The works will start this year from Vladicin Han to Levosoje in longitude of 42,5 km; the money is secured from “Hellenic plan” in the amount of 100 millions EUR, and additional 7,5 millions EUR is obligation of Serbia. The section will be finished in 2010. Also, the machines will be turned on on the part from Levsoje to Macedonian border, and works on this 22,1 km will be financed by Serbia with 53,6 millions EUR. This section will be ready for traffic use in 2009.
Jocic says that the work on the most difficult section through Gredlicka klisura, that is from Grabovnica to Vladicin Han, will be started next year. For these 32 km, our country should secure even 293,3 millions EUR, as it is a matter of a very hard ground configuration. The construction should be finished in 2011.
- Tender documentation based on the contract with the Government of Serbia is prepared by Greek state consulting house “Ignatia odosa” which has already done the feasibility study – says Joci. – There is in process the revision of project idea plans, and Ministries of finances and infrastructure, with the decision of public interest should proceed with expropriation process in several stages. The company which will be given the work on construction of this highway will be obliged to do the conduction project.
