"Delta Maxi" took over Banja Luka-based "Tropic" - contract worth 35m KM
General Manager of Belgrade-based company "Delta
Maxi", Dragan Filipović, and General Manager of the Banja Luka trade company "Tropic", Mirko Risović, signed the contract worth 35m KM yesterday (July 11, 2007) in
Banja Luka on takeover of retail market chain "Tropic" by the company from Belgrade.
The contract was signed in the presence of Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, Minister of Trade of RS, Predrag Gluhaković, Minister of Trade and Services of Serbia, Predrag Bubalo, President of company "Delta", Miroslav Mišković, and Vice President of the company, Milka Forcan.
- This is a significant business step forward both for Republic of Srpska and Serbia. The decision on takeover was made by "Delta Maxi" because "Tropic", with its operations, fit into our concept - Filipović pointed out.
Filipović pointed out that company "Delta" had not given up procurement of Banja Luka-based department store "Boska", estimating that "there are still some unsolved problems, but Delta is not giving up".
Risović says that, by selling its retail market chain, "Tropic" actually sold its business, but the Risović
family remains the owner of real estates.
- We made the decision to sell the market chain five years ago, and "Tropic" will carry out all works related to real estates and investments in RS on behalf of "Delta". Also, founding of the investment fund will be completed very soon - said Risović.
