Jagodina donated two hectares of land to the Greeks

President of the city assembly of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic Palma said in Thessaloniki to president of Greek-Serbian chamber of Commerce, Kostas Georgakis that his town is giving two hectares of land next to the highway with entire infrastructure to the chamber which should find an investor.

Markovic is heading the delegation of 350 craftsmen from Jagodina which will present their products to the Greeks.

- We are providing you, Greek-Serbian business chamber, two hectares of land in Industrial zone in Jagodina. There are seven plants operating there, six Italian and one Russian. At the moment 1.400 people work here and by the end of 2016, 3.000 will work. Today, you have been provided with a gift and I expect you to find an investor who wants to make something. It may also be the basis for export of Greek products to the markets of other countries. You received free land, free utility service cost, free infrastructure, free electricity, water, gas and sewerage – Markovic said and added that construction permit in Jagodina is issued only in 12 days.

Markovic met also the mayor of Thessaloniki, Janis Butaris who invited businessmen from Serbia to attend the Fair of trade in Thessaloniki in September where Serbian businessmen will have their stand as well.

President Markovic said that foreign trade of Serbia and Greece could improve significantly.
