Cokolend is building three production halls in Paracin - Work for 70 people
While a large number of companies in Serbia has been trying to survive, the chocolate plant, Cokolend, has become a big construction site as of the spring. They have been working intensively on expansion of production department and heavy machinery in the plant develops internal roads.
- Not only production capacities will expand but they will be enriched with three new programs. We are building three new halls, on 4.000 m2 and we have invested in new machines, imported from Germany. In the fall, we will start three new productions in the new space and 70 people will be employed - Nenad Jovanovic, new majority owner of Cokolend since mid-January explains.
Current works do not disturb production so every day they produce corn tortilla, chips- the only product of this kind in the Balkans as well as chocolate, cacao products and creams, etc. According to Gorana Jovanovic, Quality Control Manager, they are expecting better market position. Apart from that, with the new owner, the plant got new management and GM is Stanica Petrovic.
