Three investors interested in the Obrenovac hotel

President of the Obrenovac municipality, Miroslav Cuckovic, said there are three investors interested in the Obrenovac hotel in this town.

As municipal website reports, having in mind that the facility of the Obrenovac hotel, in line with the law, went bankrupt, i.e. "Sava TENT", and since employees and people left it after the floods, the City municipality Obrenovac has started aggressive campaign in order to try to fix it in line with new economic trends.

- We have two interested people and we have been discussing with them and we will inform management of EPS and the Agency for privatization on their wishes. One investor is in the field of tourism and so far he has invested ina few city hotels and the other one is in tour operating business and is one of famous hotel chains which has its express branch offices on the outskirts of big towns – Cuckovic said.

The meeting with the third potential investor was announced for Saturday, May 23.

The "Obrenovac" hotel is owned by the Electric Power Industry of Serbia. It has its lot on over 5 ha at the entrance to Obrenovac which Cuckovic sees as one of its biggest advantages. One of the models to introduce investors would be long-term rent with a minimal investment of EUR 3 m.

The hotel has 10.000 m2 with 105 rooms, three restaurants, a symposium hall with an option of change which means the investor can make more or less rooms, depending on wishes and need , municipal website reports .
