Government adopts proposal of changes to Law on privatization
Today, the Government of Serbia adopted the proposal of the changes to the Law on privatization which proposes extension of deadline for privatization of companies which are strategically important and the ones in Kosovo and Metohija.
Approximately 25.000 employees work in these companies, it was communicated after the meeting of the Government.
As explained, the objective of the proposed law is to solve destiny of companies where there are conditions for privatization successfully and to facilitate privatization procedure as well as to establish their real situation of their property, debts and capital i.e. to define their real market value.
In line with the Law on privatization, December 31, 2015 is the final deadline for privatization of companies in the portfolio of the Agency for privatization and there are 526 of themThe proposal of the Minister of trade is to extend deadline for privatization for 17 firms and 18 of non-privatized in Kosovo and Metohija.
As proposed, after adoption of the Law on privatization, new estimation of capital of non-privatized companies will have to be done in 30 days.
