Placing pipes for Turkish stream starts in June in the Black sea
Setting pipes for the gas pipeline Turkish Stream in the shallow water
will start in the first decade of June, deputy of the president of management
board Gazprom, Vitali Markelov has said
today.
He specified at the press conference that two ships will carry out the setting
and the first pipes will be placed by Italian "Saipem", Tas reported.
All the pipes ordered for the South stream project will be used for Turkish
stream, member of the management board at "Gazprom", Oleg Aksjutin
said and added a part of pipes has already been produced and has been
kept at special places.
As Tass previously reported, in early May "Gazprom" ordered the start of works on construction of Turkish stream gas pipeline.
The route of the Turkish stream will mainly go at the bottom of the Black Sea along the same route of the South stream.
"Gazprom" and Turkish "Botas" signed December 1, 2014 memorandum on mutual construction of gas pipeline from Russia across the Black sea.
