Tesla starts the world with batteries

The head at "Tesla" Elon Musk is trying to change from the scratch the way the world uses energy in households.

It would be achieved when millions of small facilities made of solar panels and batteries would be used and placed on house roofs and garages.

Although "Tesla" will produce "Powerwall" battery, they are planning to sell it to many other companies. List of partners includes "SolarCity" set up by Musk’s cousins London and Peter Reeve, where he is the president and the major shareholder.

Price of electrical cars starts at USD 70.000 so batteries can be too expensive for many consumers. Proposed price is USD 3.000 to 3.500, depending on capacity and it could discourage the interested ones, especially when it is about a product with limited usage.

Although it will take time to achieve it, in "Tesla" they hope that they will start delivery of the first limited number of "Powerwall" batteries this summer in USA before they start with the international market next year.

Long-term plan is to decrease in the world usage of energy from fossil fuels, since creation of network of home batteries can be controlled as if they were electric power plants and it could help economy to provide sufficient energy at the time of great demand.
