Fisek International is buying Paracin-based Stofara
After a number of potential buyers which have been considering facilities and equipment of Stofara in bankruptcy and one failed auction, entire property of the plant will finally be sold.
According to Sasa Jovanovic, a trustee in bankruptcy, April 25 with "Fisek International" headquartered in Belgrade, a pre-contract on sale was signed and deposit of RSD 30 m was paid and it was specified that within 90 days entire sales price of RSD 108 m is paid.
-If it does not pay remaining 78 m, deposit will not be returned to a buyer so there is no reason to doubt successful sale outcome. – Jovanovic explains and adds that founders of the mentioned firm are Turkish citizens.
Sale of 30.000 m2 under facilities and 7 ha of land, including equipment, were long-awaited by former employees of Stofara so that, finally, they would get at least a part of their claims. , Therefore, trustee in bankruptcy explains the main division will be done when the Trade court makes a decision and specifies if there will be sufficient funds for employees ‘claims in the first payment period.
News on sale of the plant was quickly spread in Paracin and some 150 former employees of the plant are not hiding they are satisfied for RSD 200.000 which everyone will, more or less, get.
