Serbian Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic, who is also a member of the state delegation on a visit to Azerbaijan, has toured production and talked with the management of the Azmeco company.

This Azerbaijani chemical company is one of the leading methanol manufacturers producing about 600,000 tonnes a year that are distributed across Europe and China by British Petrol.

While in Azerbaijan, Antic introduced his hosts to the capabilities and capacities of the Serbian chemical industry. Azmeco representatives expressed interest in investment opportunities in Kikinda-based MSK and Petrohemija from Pancevo.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Azerbaijani President Ilham Alyev agreed at a meeting to organize a visit of Azmeco representatives to Serbia so the talks about possible models of cooperation between the two countries could be continued.
