Mitros starts production in October

Reconstruction of the facility of Sremska Mitrovica-based Mitros, which was sold to Austria's Gierlinger Holding in mid-January for EUR 800,000, has commenced in Sremska Mitrovica. The start of production is scheduled for October, while 300 people will get a job right away.
Mitros General Manager Ramo Adrovic said yesterday that EUR 20 million would be invested in Mitros by 2017 instead of initially planned EUR 12 million. A total of 300 people will be hired immediately, and that number is expected to grow with the expansion of production. As he noted, the final objective is to increase the daily processing capacity to 5,000 fatlings and to employ over 1,000 workers by 2020.
He explained that the company would start production in October by processing 1,000 fatlings a day.
By the way, Mitros products will not be available in Serbia, where Mitros' owner Gierlinger from Austria has been operating for years.
