French companies want to participate in modernization of Serbian railways
French businessmen in railway sector who have visited today Belgrade’s railway station "Beograd centar" in Prokop, are interested in participating in projects of modernization of Serbian railways as well as concessions.
GM of French-Serbian chamber of commerce, Sanja Ivanic, ssaid they came to meet current projects of Serbian railways and to see how they can join, regardless of whether it is aboy construction, material procurement or other types of cooperation.
She said delegation comprises six French companies and two from SMEs sector as well as that their arrival to Serbia was a result of last year’s visit to Serbia of French Prime Minister, Manuel Vals Srbiji, when Agreement on cooperation of two countries in the transport field was signed.
It comprises projects in modernization and reconstruction of railway infrastructure in Serbia, in urbanization and intermodal aspect, i.e. connecting different kinds of traffic as well as when it comes to concessions – exploitation of suburban, regional and longer railway directions.
Companies which visited Serbia are: French Railways (SNCF), representatives of "Thales group", "Alstom transport", "Schneider Electric", "Egis", as well as French companies operating in production of track equipment, "Acieries et laminoires des Rives"(ALR) and "Mecelec".
