"Wiener Stadtische" donated diapers to Belgrade’s maternity hospitals
Representatives of insurance company "Wiener Stadtische" handed donation of “tetra-diapers” for babies to the Institute for Gynecology and Obstetrics of Clinical Center of Serbia. The donated quantity of diapers is big enough for all four maternity hospitals in Belgrade for period of one year.
The Manager of the Institute, Prof. Dr Nebojša Radunović, pointed out at the press conference that the daily needs of the Institute amounted to 1,000 – 2,000 diapers for babies, which speaks enough about the importance of that donation.
He pointed out that Serbia required plan for reproduction of population, because, in the past 10 years, average number of births per year is 70,000, while 100,000 – 110,000 people lose their lives, which means that the number of citizens of Serbia decreases by 30,000 every year.
The aid "Wiener Stadtische" has been organized within the scope of the national project “Baby is coming”, and "Wiener" provided the first annual insurance premium for education for future mothers in amount of 300 EUR.
The aim of "Baby is coming" project is to provide reliable and timely medical information to the future mothers and to contribute to their education in field of maternity through SMS and e-mail messages.
