The deadline for privatization of over 500 enterprises in Serbia is not going to be extended, Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic said today.
- We are considering different models for certain number of companies whose protection from creditors expires May 31st. We are now looking for a way to meet the deadline without causing a collapse on June 1st - Sertic told the press after opening the Serbia-Czech Republic Business Forum in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Ljubomir Subara, the director of the Privatization Agency, noted two days ago that it was necessary to extend the deadline for privatization to avoid financial collapse in Serbia that would be measured in billions of dinars.
