(future look of the visitor center) Ancient imperial palace Felix Romuliana, the only archeological locality in Serbia on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is becoming more and more popular among visitors. Construction of the visitor center Felix Romuliana, which may start soon, will definitely contribute to the attractiveness of this site.
- Owing to the importance of this site and based on existing strategic documents, spatial and management plans, the necessity for a visitor center emerged in the domain of inbound tourism. Construction of this facility would enrich the offer and improve the service for visitors while also helping the implementation of new scientific and archeological research - Bora Dimitrijevic, the director of the Zajecar National Museum, says in an interview with eKapija.
The project calls for the construction of visitor center with accompanying infrastructure and research center, access roads, bicycle and foot paths. Also, the plan is to expand the National Museum in Zajecar and set up signposts for visitors alongside roads and paths.

On the Roman Emperors Route
Construction of the visitor center would improve the development of municipal infrastructure and increase the employment rate in line with the Strategy for Sustainable Regional Development from 2011, people at the Zajecar National Museum explained.
The visitor center project is aligned with Serbia's Tourism Master Plan - Roman Emperors Route, which was prepared by the Research Center of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 2007. By the way, the Roman Emperors Route is one of the most important tourist routes in Serbia. This route intertwines with wine routes and the cycling route EuroVelo 6. The key attractions on that historical route are Sirmium, Singidunum, Viminacium, Felix Romuliana, Trajan's Bridge and Tabula Traiana.
