Economy of Pomoravlje doubles export in five years
Acting head of the Regional chamber of commerce for Sumadija
and Pomoravlje, Predrag Lucic, said
export of trade of the Pomoravlje region during the last five years has been
constantly growing and that it doubled compared to 2010.
Economy of five municipalities of the Pomoravlje region and the city of
Jagodina last year exported goods totaling USD 202 m and imported 158 m, Lucic
outlined.
In 2014, the economy of the Pomoravlje region increased export for more than
nine percent and decreased import for 15%, Lucic mentioned at the meeting of
the Council of the Pomoravlje managing region where presidents and deputies of municipalities
were present.
-The thing which is important is the fact that economy in foreign
trade generated suffice of USD 43,7 m – he
said, estimated that the economy of the Pomoravlje region somehow improves the image of Serbian foreign
trade.
The growth was generated also thanks to production of new products for export,
he added.
Last year, the biggest exporters were: the plant of Japanese Panasonic in Svilajnac, which is fourth-ranked among ten biggest exporters from Sumadija and Pomoravlje, Confezioni Andrea Serbia in Jagodina, which is tenth, Industry of cables, Meat Industry Juhor, Mobilturi, Metal - eko Jagodina, Conti 3 Svilajnac, NIP Spasic Ćurija, Vinex Levacki grozd Rekovac, etc.
