Esmark wants to manage Zelezara Smederevo

The U.S. company Esmark has expressed interest in managing Smederevo-based steelworks, Serbia's national broadcasting corporation RTS reports.

According to RTS, Esmark aims to privatize that company by 20 June 2016.

Esmark was the only party interested in taking over Zelezara Smederevo in the first privatization attempt that ended in unsuccessful negotiations between the Serbian government and that U.S. company on the takeover of the steel mill in Smederevo.
