EPS scraps 43 executive positions

The Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) adopted Monday (2 March 2015) the Decision on Fundamentals of Internal Organization, by which all directorates cease to exist and the number of sectors is reduced from 65 to 35.

As announced in a release, in line with aforementioned Decision and the Regulations governing job organization and classification at the EPS, signed by EPS CEO Aleksandar Obradovic, 43 executive positions are scrapped.

- The aim is to bring EPS closer to production and distribution of electrical energy - the release reads.

Adoption of the Decision and the Regulations represents the first step towards company's reorganization in accord with the Reorganization Program that was adopted in late November 2014 by the Serbian government.

The EPS Reorganization Program calls for conversion of EPS into a joint-stock company by 1 July 2016, the release reads.
