Novi Sad-based Novokabel is still waiting for buyer

Head of Novkabel, Dragan Cvetkovic, says no information has been delivered when it comes to potential buyers and the Agency for privatization still does not have obligation to provide information on the interested, portal of Novi Sad "021" radio reports.

In the procedure of the Agency for privatization, deadlines for all procedures, from advertising to finding buyers, its interest and check are defined so it is theoretically impossible that Novokabel gets an owner before March. Cvetkovic however mentions that he expects better days for the plant since winter season is nearing an end and it is a common thing that metal industry has less work during it.

-Construction season starts in March and I believe that demand for our products will increase – Cvetkovic says.

Future owner of Novokabel will get 43 ha of land. Ten hectares is under production halls with more than 500 production machines and office space. A few special facilities is there also – Javor plant in Kisac, Masinogradnja and restaurant, FK Kabel in Novi Sad.
