Race for "Meljine" – Serbian-Montenegrin consortium more solvent than the British

- The Consortium that gathers Montenegrin Invest bank and Atlasmont bank, Serbian special hospital "Sveti Nikola" and "Atlas CAP", offered 25.1m EUR for the Military-medical Center in Meljine near Herceg Novi – the tender commission announced.

Other bidder on this tender is London-based company "Belfair’s management", which offered the price lower by 10m EUR.

Montenegrin-Serbian Consortium stated in its offer that it planned to invest 119.4m EUR in Meljine within the next seven years, 99.4m of which within the first five years, while "Belfair’s" offered 30m EUR worth of investments within next five years.

In accordance with the tender terms defined by the Montenegrin Ministry of Finance, the offers will be accepted if the investor presents evidence that it has been providing health care services for at least 10 years and that it has annual turnover of at least 50m EUR during the last three years.

Former military complex in Meljine disposes of about 50,000 square meters of land and 19 facilities on total surface of 23,000 square meters.

According to earlier estimates, Meljine, together with the rehabilitation center, maternity ward, surgical division, internal ward, Institute for naval medicine, cabinets, laboratory, Transfusion center and villa Lovćenka", is worth about 100m EUR.

Tender commission is obliged to evaluate offers within 15 days and inform the public on further development of the tender procedure.
