Eiffel Tower with two wind turbines becomes new icon of renewable energy sources industry
The American producer published that two wind turbines can generate some 10.000 KWh of electricity per year which suffice energy quantity which commercial part
of the first floor at the tower spends, London Guardian reports.
Producer says two turbines are almost silent and since they are in the same color as the tower, they can hardly be differed from its metal construction.
At the height of 120 m, turbines enable optimal usage of constant winds.
Vertical base turbines produce less electricity than the classic ones but they are designed for city areas where winds are less predictable and often change direction.
Within the program of the Eiffel Tower rehabilitation, saving, LED lights and solar heaters as well as rain water usage facility were installed also.
