Montenegro to intrdoduce economic citizenship?

Montenegro is considering the option of implementing economic citizenship and this convenience would be available to foreign investors, Vikend novine from Podgorica report, referring to unnamed sources at the top of Montenegrin government.

The source at the Government said that the option of introducing so-called “gold visas, a program which would enable that through purchase of one of more real estate totaling above exactly defined limit foreign citizens get a residential permit in Montenegro which provides them right to, as residents of it, travel in Schengen zone without visas, it was stated in the text.

The offer of Montenegrin real estate market in media texts, brochures and advertising material for readers in East Europe was last year promoted with an announcement that Montenegro could soon introduce “gold visas”to foreign citizens who invest larger portions of money in this sector, Cdm portal reports.
