Coca-Cola to move production out of Subotica and invest EUR 3.8 million in new bottling plant in Belgrade

Coca-Cola system in Serbia (Coca-Cola Hellenic and the Coca-Cola company) is going to invest EUR 3.8 million in production and storage facilities with the aim of putting state-of-the-art juice production plant into operation in Belgrade.
This investment, as well as the commissioning of new production line for all sorts of cardboard asseptic packaging of 0.5 and 1.5 liter, will enable the Coca-Cola system to establish the Juice Production Center within the Belgrade-based factory for the needs of previously agreed exports to Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Poland.
Thanks to this process, another 80 workers will get a job in Belgrade.

As part of planned changes in the juice production infrastructure, the activities of Fresh&Co. factory in Subotica will be integrated into the new Juice Production Center in Belgrade. This whole process is expected to be finished by the end of 2015.
As the company said earlier in a release, Coca-Cola regrets the influence of this process on certain positions at Subotica-based factory, mainly those held by people who do not want to move to Belgrade.
- All employees will be given an option to apply for new jobs that are going to be created. The company will help them move and find accomodation in the transition period. All those whose jobs are affected by this process will be offered full support, including assistance in finding a new job and severance pays higher than those prescribed by law - the release reads.
