Draft Bank and Insurance Company Bankruptcy and Liquidation Law adopted
The Serbian government today adopted the Draft Bank and Insurance Company Bankruptcy and Liquidation Law.
As it was announced after the Government's session, the aim of this draft law is to establish stable, sustainable and functional banking system as well as a new system of roles and responsibilities of key institutions in the country.
Proposed solutions prescribe procedures for solving problems in the banking system.
The Government also adopted the Draft Deposit Law and the Draft Deposit Insurance Agency Law.
These new regulations are expected to increase the level of efficiency of deposit insurance and improve the financial stability and protection of depositors.
