Italian Veronesi to take over Agroziv in the next six months
The budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2015 comprises funds for social program for the Agroziv’s employees. The regulation of the Government of Serbia, as a pre-requisite for the implementation of funds for this social program will be made by the end of January – it was announced yesterday at the Zitiste municipal assembly.
Apart from that, it was announced that some 500 people from chicken processing industry could become a part of social program by the end of February.
Members of the working group are familiar also with the preliminary talks and plans of the Government of Serbia, Mirabas and Italian food group Veronesi, as a potential strategic partner, about the agreement in the next six months with respect to the future of chicken industry in Serbia, i.e. Agroziv’s destiny– it was outlined in the announcement from Zitiste.
Since last year, Agroziv’s workers have not been receiving health or social insurance and Srbijagas cannot decide on the company destiny and decides what to do with 500 people.
A group of Agroziv’s workers yesterday protested in front of the Srbijagas headquarters in Novi Sad requiring for immediate status problem solving.
