End of January to see tender for selection of privatization advisor for Telekom
The minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, has said today that by the end of January tender for the selection of privatization advisor for Telekom Srbije will be released.
At the meeting of the Board of the Assembly of Serbia for trade, Sertic said that privatization advisor will define the best model for sale of Telekom.
At the meeting of the Board for trade, changes to the Law on companies which would, as Sertic said, be adopted to enable Telekom to keep 20% of its own shares, were considered.
Sertic outlined changes of the law will not have retroactive action since deadline of three years for alienation of more than 10% of its own shares for Telekom expires January 25 and there is plenty of time to change the law.
He said that in sale of its own shares, there are no other companies which would be affected with previous Law on companies.
Changes to the Law on Fund for development, which have also been on the agenda of today’s special meeting of the Assembly of Serbia, enable Fund to guarantee with its own property for its own liabilities.
