A total of EUR 70 m to be poured into special industry projects
Minister of defense, Bratislav Gasic , said on Thursday, January 8, 2015, that during 2015, the Government of Serbia is planning to pour EUR 70 m into projects of special industry.
After the meeting with the representatives of special industry plants, trade unions and representatives of ministry of trade and finance, Gasic said the plants have a deadline of ten days to suggest specific projects for investments.
- We are interested in the number of vacancies which can emerge though these projects and how much profit can be – Gasic said.
He outlined special industry can be "a serious initiator of reindustrialization” in Serbia and it can enable significant foreign currency inflows.
Gasic set aside as a good example Uzice-based Prvi Partizan which has been generating positive results while Cacak-based Sloboda has been in debts and liabilities from previous period.
According to him, all investment processes in special industry will go through Srpska banka which, as he said, has nothing to do with tycoons anymore.
