Culinary habits of famous dictators
Two British authors wrote a book on culinary habits of famous dictators, London media report.
Victoria Clark i Melisa Scott wrote a book ""Dictators Dinners: The bad taste guide to tyrants" where they describe favorite recipes of dictators and their small habits during meals.
- Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), who obviously preferred animals to men, was a paranoid vegetarian who did not eat meat or fish. He ate only fresh products, he did not smoke or drink alcohol – it was written in the book and it was added Hitler knew to embarrass his guests "meat eaters with detailed and bloody description of his visit to one Ukrainian slaughter ".
For the fear not to be poisoned, a Nazi leader had 15 people who had to try his meals, 45 minutes after being served, so that Hitler would be sure that no one will die in the meantime.
Joseph Stalin (1878-1953) liked to eat for a long time and sometimes his meals lasted up to six hours. In the book, it was stated that Stalin’s personal chef was a grandfather of Russian president, Vladimir Putin, Spyridon Putin.
- Meals lasted forever, together with games, alcohol and boring anecdoted and were a real torture for Stalin’s guests.. Once, Yugoslav leader, Josip Broz Tito threw up in his jacket pocket– British authors said.
Unlike him, Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) liked eating fast, thinking time should not be wasted in long meals. He liked simple dishes and his favorite was onion salad with a drop of oil and squeezed lemon.
- Sometimes Mussolini’s wife, for his onion-like breath, was refusing to share bed with him – it was written in the book.
