Belgrade-based airport generates new passenger transport reports - During 2015, EUR 20 m will be invested in capacity expansion
Vlaisavljevic outlines that in goods transport, an increase of 24% compared to 2013 was generated and that in 2014 record results in the history of Nikola Tesla airport were generated.
In 2014, there were a record number of flights from Belgrade’s airport thanks to extraordinary increase of traffic in Air Serbia.
The airport has 26 carriers at the moment and together with charter flights the number reaches 35.
He also said that the Nikola Tesla airport is ready for expected implementation of overseas flights in the upcoming period.
As he said, more than EUR 20 m will be invested in a few projects, such as new terminal expansions which will increase airport capacity for four air bridges and four positions.
He said the old terminal will be rehabilitated and that domestic construction industry will participate in that business.
According to him, Belgrade’s airport at the moment has the biggest traffic growth out of all main airports in Europe which is why it is particularly interesting to investors.
